How to downgrade from win 11 to 10

Why should i downgrade from windows 11 to 10?

  1. Stronger Virtualization & Kernel Protections – Microsoft is doubling down on security with Hypervisor-Protected Code Integrity (HVCI), making it even tougher to modify system behavior or run unsigned code.

  2. Automatic Update Enforcement – Windows 11 24H2 aggressively forces updates, meaning even if you disable updates, it might re-enable them, breaking tools or bypasses over time.

  3. Restricted Driver Support – The update tightens driver signing enforcement, preventing older or custom drivers from working—this kills many low-level workarounds for automation, spoofing, or exploits.

  4. AI & Cloud-Based Detection – Microsoft is integrating more cloud-based security features, making it easier for them to detect unusual behavior, block unsigned software, and even remotely enforce security patches.

How do I downgrade?

1. Back Up Important Files

Before reinstalling, save important files to an external drive or a cloud service like Proton Drive, Google Drive, or OneDrive.

2. Create a Windows 10 Installation USB

  • Download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s website.

  • Plug in a USB drive (16GB Recomended).

  • Run the tool and select "Create installation media" → Choose USB flash drive → Let it finish.

3. Boot from the USB

  • Restart your PC and enter BIOS/Boot Menu (usually by pressing F2, F12, DEL, or ESC during boot).

  • Select your USB drive as the boot device.

4. Install Windows 10

  • Click Install Now and choose Custom Installation.

  • Select your main drive (delete old partitions if needed) and install Windows.

5. Finish Setup

  • Let Windows install and set up your user account.

  • Install drivers and updates.

  • Restore your backed-up files.

6. (Optional) Disable Security Updates to Avoid Forced Windows 11 Upgrade

  • Download Chris Titus’ Windows Utility from GitHub.

  • Run the script and go to the Tweaks section.

  • Disable Windows Updates and Telemetry to prevent forced upgrades to Windows 11.

If all is done correctly you'll be on a fresh windows 10 install.
