Nightfall Fuser Setup Guide (Second PC)

1. Download Required Files Download the Nightfall DMA loader. Extract it to a clean folder on your second PC.

2. Launch the DMA Loader Run the loader as administrator. It will automatically check for your DMA card.

If everything is working, you'll see confirmation that the card is detected.

If there's an error:

  • Make sure the card is connected properly

  • Install USB drivers for your card

  • Try different USB ports or cables if needed

3. Follow the Fuser Images Refer to the screenshots below to finish setup using the fuser. Make sure you're using the correct resolution and overlay settings based on your setup.

Nightfall No-Fuser Setup Guide (NVIDIA Guide Only)

Note: This guide is for NVIDIA GPU users using GeForce Experience. If you're using AMD or Intel, you’ll need to use Sunshine instead. Nightfall does not provide a tutorial for Sunshine, but you can find many on YouTube or Google.

1. Enable Game Streaming on the Game PC Open GeForce Experience on your game PC. Enable GameStream in the settings.

Afterwards, go ahead and click the Add button in the same location to add the following "game" to GeForce Experience:

Click Add and select your desktop or any app so that your full desktop can be streamed, not just a game window.

2. Install Moonlight on the Second PC Download and install Moonlight from https://moonlight-stream.org/ This will let you stream the full desktop of your game PC to the second PC.

3. Download Required Files on the Second PC Download the Nightfall DMA loader and extract it to a clean folder.

4. Start the DMA Loader Run the loader as administrator. Log in with your key. If your DMA card is connected correctly, you’ll see a confirmation screen.

If there’s an error:

  • Double-check the physical connection

  • Install the required USB drivers

  • Try switching ports or cables if needed

5. Open Moonlight and Configure It Open Moonlight on the second PC. Go to settings and set the resolution and FPS to match your main gaming monitor's native resolution and refresh rate. All displays — the Game PC monitor, the game settings, and the second PC monitor — must use the same resolution and refresh rate. If they don’t match, the radar visuals will not align properly.

6. Connect to the Game PC and Start the Game In Moonlight, your game PC will appear as a streamable device. Connect using the Desktop option that was added earlier. Once connected, launch the game on your game PC normally.

Troubleshooting and quality of life improvements

Common issues along with their solutions are listed here. Make sure to work your way through them before asking questions in case of errors or anything not functioning!

  • Visuals do not align or are drawn in the wrong locations: Make sure both PC's have the same resolution set, the game is running in fullscreen/borderless windowed AND the right resolution is set in Moonlight.

  • Visuals are drawn on the monitor of the second PC, but I want to use my primary monitor to game: An option is to connect both the game PC and the second PC to the same monitor that you want to use for gaming. Workflow would go a little something like this: Start game PC, log in, start second PC, switch monitor input to second PC, log in, start DMA loader, start Moonlight and connect Moonlight to your game PC. This way, it's like using the main PC as normal, but with visuals.

  • Moonlight is lagging: Both PC's should ideally be connected to the internet (and your home network) via ethernet. WLAN is not ideal for game streaming in the slightest, so that is probably the cause. Other than that, disable VSYNC ingame, set the game to fullscreen and make sure the GPU is running below 80% usage. Turn down graphics settings if it's running at 80% or higher

  • Moonlight won't let me tab out: Since Moonlight version 4, tabbing out is broken. They have a workaround for it: Press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+D while tabbed in

  • Moonlight freezing: Personal experience is that it's caused by using borderless fullscreen on Moonlight. Fullscreen fixes the issue

  • Moonlight enables mouse acceleration on game PC: There are workarounds for this on the Moonlight discord. If you can't figure it out, leave the owner a message on Discord

  • Visuals are not drawn at all (including FPS / frametime on the top left corner): Make sure to log into the loader first before starting Moonlight. Then, before connecting, make sure the Moonlight client status on the loader says "Loaded!".
